UK Airports Strike Called Off

Happy New!!! There have been a few blogs sites reporting a planned strike among the UK airports. The strike has been called off. It was planned for January 7, January 14 and a 48-hour walkout starting January 17. The Strike would have affected Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Southampton.

I have several friends going to Africa during January who were having to re-arrange flights to get around the strike. Bummer.

So carry on now...still be on the look out for strikes to happen while traveling abroad. Be prepared with all your travel numbers, reservations, and a plan B should something happen while you are traveling.
